Trumpet in the key of C – The end of your transposing woes!

Trumpet player? Tired of having to transpose when playing with others? Answer, play a trumpet that is tuned to the key of C!

Many, potential, trumpet players are put off learning to play the trumpet due to the difficulty associated with playing with other instruments (particularly those tuned to the key of C e.g. guitar and piano) as there is a need to transpose everything by two semitones as the trumpet is ordinarily tuned to Bb.

Even the most experienced of trumpet players can find this to be a total nightmare, particularly, when playing unfamiliar pieces of music. Playing a C trumpet, therefore, means no more transposing ever required! 🙂 Also, the C trumpet has a brighter tone and ‘cuts through’ much easier than its Bb counterpart.

Amazon have a C trumpet in their store which at less than £150 is a total bargain.
